Help Required - Arabic Speaking Patient Needed

Ok guys and gals, firstly I need to apologise for not being around for a long while - I went and got a job last August and have been incredibly busy since then!!

I need some help on behalf of the team at my treating hospital. We have a pre-op patient for who English isn't their first language (it is Arabic) and there are some communication issues. The team are hoping to find someone who has had a balloon and someone who has had a sleeve for who Arabic is a language they could converse in easily (doesn't need to be the same person for both procedures), they have asked me to see if I can find someone who can help because I am actively involved in weight loss forums and communities in various places on the web.

If you are able to help please inbox me so I can set up a communication link to the nurse specialist from our hospital, initially it would be through me so I won't be passing on any personal information without permission.

Thanks in advance......

If you work for the NHS, can't you get an interpreter through the interpreting service? That's what we do when we have non English speaking patients. You have to be careful about confidentiality too.

Hi Paula, I'm a post op patient and don't work for the NHS anymore. My team nurse asked me because she knows I'm a member of a number of groups.

What they are looking for is someone who can share their experiences of either balloon or sleeve to help this client understand the process rather than the clinical side of things.
