How long is the wait???

Just wondering how long you all had to wait from GP referral to surgery with the NHS?? It seems that every area is different!

I'm having my by pass next week and its nearly 3 years since i was refered. I think you may be starting at the right time though because it seems to be only taking about 6 month at Sunderland xx

Im in london and I think I was around 18 months from start to finish

Hi I am in London,I would say it has taken rougthly 18 months since I was referred to my surgery date which is on the 19th august

I think it personally depends on your circumstances via tests, area etc I'm in London and from referral to surgery (June 2nd) was roughly 10 months

I waited 15-16 months from referral to op in Sunderland. Had my op last November but I believe things have changed since then and they've speeded up somewhat

I'm in London and from referral to surgery was 8 months (seemed like a lifetime) I had bypass 23rd May.

I was originally at Sunderland, but transferred to North Tees from seminar to operation it was 9 months.
