Is this normal?

I managed on paracetamol at home and it was very painful moving about, climbing stairs etc. Bed was horrible because I am a side-sleeper and found lying on my back propped up made my back ache. Which was OK I guess as it took my mind off my front!

With every day it got a little less and I practiced my 'walking tall' as recommended by the physiotherapist. Take heart though; at 16 days post-op I was 'Mom dancing' to the piped music in a local clothes shop! lol!

I haven't had any problems or leakage with my incision which os now healed save for a tiny bit of scabbing.

Interestingly, in a pre-op chat the morning of my procedure, our bariatric nurse explained that some people do have problems with leakage at the incision site (open procedure) and that sometimes it is not an infection but fat escaping as it has to escape somewhere. EEeeeeuw!
