Hi Llora and Birdie01
Thanks again Birdie, just bought the book you are now reading.
Hi Llora
Just read your threads, been noisy to see which one you had chosen. How are you getting on, and have you had your op yet or are you still waiting.
After reading lots of threads on here, everyone's journey is different, also areas.
What frightens me the most about the bypass, is quite a few people cart eat or don't want no food, then some of them have had to have the peg in to feed them. My Mother in law had a peg, due to having MND and I wouldn't like to think I was going through the op, to help me loose my weight and be happier about myself, then have a peg.
I have seen all the complications of a peg, tube etc, also the thought of injections for the rest of my life.
But has Birdie01 said "eighteen month down the line, you get your hunger pains back" with the Sleeve, and I wouldn't want to be where I am today again, so this needs more control.
But having said all this, there are thousands who have had the bypass, and are really very pleased with it, also the Sleeve and they have kept the weight off.
Not sure now I know I can have the operation, I am over thinking this.
Best Wishes
Elaine
