Mountain to Molehill

Do you know how many pots I can have? Eww I really don't like milk so wouldn't do that. I'm on the slim fast and that's a struggle :) x

I made puddings with half the jelly and half a bottle of slimfast in each serving, it was like mousse and yummy. My fav was chocolate slimfast and raspberry jelly, made it easier to have the slimfast and was a nice treat.

One sachet of jelly makes a pint so I'd guess 3 of the little pots? Just make sure you check the labels and each pot has same or less calories then the sachet mix.

Ooo that sounds nice. Did you then put it in the fridge? How did the slim fast turn with the jelly as it's liquid? Did you mix the two or pour the slim fast over the jelly? Lol x

You mix them together until they're one liquid rather than two then pop it in the fridge and it sets!

I think it's called hartleys and they do lots of yummy flavours only 10 calories a pot :) I like cranberry & raspberry best

I like the sound of jelly/slim fast moose i must try this soon thanks Stacey x

I got my sugar free jelly now to make this but just realised all my bottled slim fast is cafe late so no idea what concoction I'll end up with lol

After 5 a day for a week I don't think ill ever want one again lol. Thankfully the combination of the dairy stopped hunger and cravings or I would have struggled so much. How are you getting on? Are you on your pre op now? X

Yea on pre op. 1 week in and I am still starving. I'm on slim fast x5 and 1x jelly. But the slim fast makes me feel incredibly sick so I'm only drinking 3. Just want this to be over it's awful.

Hi All,

So you may have seen quite a few posts from me lately, but i finally thought i would make a pre op diary.

It has been a long slog to get to where i am now, it took me 4 years to be finally referred for surgery after going through every stage of the process including tier 3. When i finally got referred everything happened very quickly, until i got my op cancelled 3 weeks prior due to constant infections (This is something that i had begged the docs for years to refer me for but they refused). Anyway a few hospital appointments later and several specialists i got to go ahead for the op once again .. This time fingers crossed all is ok :) 20 days to go ....

So i have been on my pre op for 8 days now. 7 of those days i spent on the slim fast diet, however due to my ibs it made me really poorly and i was losing more down the loo than i was taking in leading me to lose 1st in a week and end up in bed.

So this is now day one of the food diet, and i cannot tell you how much better i feel already for it, i am sticking to the booklet by the gram and ensuring i don't eat too much.

Day 8 -

Breakfast-
1 Slice of wholemeal toast
30g of Light cream cheese

Lunch -
Salad (Lettuce, cucumber & celery)
6 cherry tomatoes
100g of Chicken
2 boiled eggs.

For dinner i plan to have -

Sweet potato
Cod
Small side salad
Cottage Cheese.

I havent snacked yet as after starving for the past 7 days i am not half as hungry as i thought i would be.

Thanks for reading :)

You will get there Hun just keep focused on the end goal and the reason you are doing it. Are you on it for 2 weeks?

No 4 weeks. Got taken off it and put onto the low calorie food diet as I ended up poorly x

Aww sorry to hear that Hun, I hope you are feeling better now and finding the low calorie a bit easier. I did a week of 1k cals and my plate sizes of salad where huge lol. I weighed everything out and used the calorie count on my fitness pal I found that really helped x

1st in a week wow!! Doesn't sound to good, glad your feeling better now.

Your pre-op diet sounds very tasty and healthy, good luck!!

I think once I start I will do the mixed diet, shake for breakfast and lunch and a meal around 300 calories in the evening. I don't have a op date yet but just getting everything prepared in my head
:)
