Hi All,

I thought I would join the WLS forum to gain some help and support from people that re going through the same as me!

I officially started my WLS journey on August 1st when I went to see my GP about WLS. He was very kind and understanding... I had already seen him a number of times, as well as the nurse. I have also had a trial month on Orlistat - But didnt loose enough weight to continue.

He has referred me to HEARTLANDS HOSPITAL in BIRMINGHAM. I have an appointment on 27/9/17 with a weight loss specialist. Has anybody had any experience with Heartlands?

Im just looking to hear peoples journeys etc

It seems to go really quickly in UK. I'm in Spain and I have been through 4 years of nutrition courses and umpteen appointments. It's taken ages. Now they suddenly rang me a couple of weeks ago and said October 17th - now there's just one week to go! Fingers crossed. I'm petrified!
