Hello :welcome2: The weight you lose more than compensates for what you have to go through.
I was bypassed on 17/1/09 and I'm still on liquids but it varies from hospital to hospital as to what you can eat afterwards.
You don't feel hungry but it does get boring and you will have sudden urges to put real food in your mouth.
I've lost 20kg since 3/1/09 and it drops daily, I'm walking daily for exercise, sleep great, feel more energetic and generally very happy.
But you still have to fight this "food is important in my life" syndrome and get yourself to think it ain't important any more, because you will quickly realise that you won't be able to eat it again even when your fully recovered, certainly not in the quantities your used to, and that can get you down a bit sometimes.
Just find a different interest or something else to do when your feeling miserable.
All in all my lifes much better and I don't regret it one bit, just dying to get back on to normal food though, even though it's small amounts.
