WOO HOO!!!! Congratulations hun.

Yes, you should start liver shrinkage diet tomorrow. The diet sheet is sent out separate to the appointment letter but shouldn't be long x

Liver shrinkage diet:

2-3 pints semi-skimmed or skimmed milk
2 diet yogurts - natural or fruit
3-4 portions of fruit (all allowed but try to include a banana, orange or grapes each day)
Sugar free jelly (optional)
One bowl of veg soup - pref home made (no pots or pulses e.g. lentils)
Water, tea, coffee (sweeteners allowed) and low calorie drinks or squashes.
1 small glass fruit juice (orange, pineapple or tomato)

No other foods should be eaten
Alcohol is not allowed

I have contacted Sunderland and they have emailed me the diet so it starts tomorrow eeek!

Whoooo Congrats!! So pleased for you, it'll soon be here:D
What are these little pots you speak of? lol x

Thats brilliant Nicola pleased for ya, you'll be ok don't panic, little pots from the pound shop to put food in for after the op, all pureed for the first 4 weeks if i remember rightly. Pureed fruit and vegetables, sunday veg pureed and purred meat with it is fine, I lived off that and still make bout 3 weekly meals with the sunday lunch left overs. Hospital I would say, dressing gown, pj's much easier than nighty if they want to look at your wounds, showergel, towel, slippers wash kit, hair related things, brush etc. Phone n charger, i pod good idea can't be bothered to read easier listening to music, money for tv card if you want one. deodorant, n think thats bout it. Have a good week and stay calm n relaxed, get your head round the diet, n prepared for post op. xx

Great news bet your over the moon
You should receive all your info in a letter or at a pre op but if unsure would phone and ask surgeons secretary

You are most welcome hope the milk and yoghurt diet goes ok, think i wa sok on it did feel bit sickly as i never used to have much milk before that diet, but i did it and it worked and lost 12lbs so worth it gives you a kick start and a positive start as you go into have the op. Good luck n take care xx;)
