I go for my sleep tests tomorrow yipee, if it comes back as positive for sleep apnea it will explain why I never get a proper nights sleep and always wake up feeling worse then when I went to bed lol....Linda x

thanks hun, my poor little cat sleeps on the bed with me and she never moves an inch all night I thrash around like a mad woman and in the morning she gets up stretches and then gives me a kiss as if to say "get out of bed now and give me peace"....Linda x
hows it gone linda. im at hope at 11 but i could get there a little earlier if you fancy meeting for a coffee.
Had a call this afternoon from a lady at PALS, I had spoken to her at the back end of last week when I wanted to know if the consultant etc wanted the surgery would the PCT fund it. She has only just got back to me she has spoken to Val at the PCT who stated that if my tests results confirm I have sleep apnea I will almost certainly be guaranteed funding for surgery. It will be such a relief on two counts, one obviously I want the surgery and two to know for sure the reason I never do more than drop off only to wake up with a big breath and then go back through the cycle. Fingers crossed that luck is on my side for once.
On another subject altogether one of my cats Bob had to have 10 teeth removed today, he is looking and feeling very sorry for himself. I have to say I think it hurt me more than him when the vet said £304.00 thank you very much!!!!!!!!![]()
hey Linda thats great news, sorry not about poor old Bob, but that you have had it diagnosed, not only will it make geting funding a bit easier, but you now know why your constantly tired.
Good news is that the apnea is one of the first things to ease after the op, i no longer snore like a chain saw, i dont fall asleep in meetings any more (no matter how boing they are) and since the op i've not felt in the mornings that i'd been on the lash al night![]()
Do you think I have it? I never really snore (sleep alone and the cat wont tell me) however when I nod off and wake I either do a loud snort of sorts or suck in a lot of air. When asked if I would fall asleep reading or watching tv I said most definitely, after a large meal relaxing, yep again but not sitting in a meeting I do get extremely tired if I have been talking a lot and just want to be left alone to nap so that might be the same thing. I guess I am just looking for reassurance from someone that has had it to see if my symptoms fits the bill.....Linda x
