Phoned my PCT!

I have twice called my PCT to see how my application for funding is going and again they havent called me back, Three weeks ago they said I would hear within three weeks im still waiting:sigh::sigh::sigh::sigh:

cant help with that one - sorry. I know some in London are really good about funding - not much help there!

I am under London and not had to apply for funding, I think either the hospital or my GP has taken care of it.

my surgeon applied for me, I got a copy of the letter he sent, when I called them they said I would hear within 3 weeks. Not sure whether to give the surgeons secretary a call. Dont want to be a nuisance though!!!

My PCT were hopeless and very unhelpful, they did not even consider me, my plea and my doctors plea got a definate NO.

My PCT are South West Essex. After scanning through loads of threads Im finding it very hard to find anyone from my area who the PCT has said yes too.

It's definately a postcode lottery.

Oh well the man who we thought was dishing out the dosh(Kent pct) called today and told me that Dr Shaw Sommers has applied to the wrong PCT:sigh::sigh::sigh: so now need to find out where by PCT is apparently Londow wow!!! Londons HUGE!!!!

I feel like screaming my bloody head off!!! I am now under Bexley PCT wonder how long they will take before a descision is made?

It is all such a post-code lottery isn't it. Everyone has a different experience with their PCT's - some go through fast with no fuss, and some have to fight tooth and nail, jumping through a miriad of hoops on the way. Really hope yours is sorted quickly x

hope you don't need to wait too long its 10 months since I applied and was refused in august then again a couple of weeks ago.

I am dreading all this waiting unfortunately I dont have any patience!

Well what a bloody nightmare, Ive had such a crappy day yesterday and im stressing out binging and smoking, yes the bloody fags are out now!!!

Ive just spoken to the bariatric team and have been told that they dont think my surgeon can apply for funding on my behalf, they also said that they will try and speak to the surgeon tomorrow and see what he says. They are saying that I may need to go to my Gp, Arghhhh my GP takes six months to do anything!!! On top of all this I had to have my beloved dog put down last night this is just adding to the stress:cry::cry: Sorry for the rant :cry::cry:

Sorry you lost your dog yesterday.

Regarding your surgeon applying for funding, it was my consultant at the obesity clinic that applied for mine so it doesn't have to be your gp. Hope you get some good news soon.
