Didn't connect the electric scooter and the weight (how dumb am i?). Considering I have one thats pretty bad! I had doubts about some other things, such as getting an appt with the surgeon soooo fast but I was just too concerned that it might be genuine to risk not giving support.

Just a quick thought but could this be floella that we had trouble with before on this thread, seems like the kind of nasty thing she would do. For all others that never came across her, she put some very hurtful comments about weight loss surgery on some of our threads.

I agree with Gen that this poster obviously has some very particular issues/problems but, sadly, not ones that any of us on here are qualified to deal with I suspect.

Don't feel bad about offering advice and help though. It just proves, yet again, what a wonderful, caring and supportive bunch of people we have on here which I, for one, am immensely proud of being a part

..and I hope we all never change being so supportive of anyone who joins us and I am equally as proud to be a part of.

The mobility scooter for someone that size??? , the nurse coming to the house with unsuitable scales????? then taking PC to the slaughterhouse that same day????? how did she get there?????? she would need to arrange speacil transport, then the nurse bought PC chocolates (i dont think so!) then the police women abusing PC in her own home. Then the fast track appointment for the surgeon and surgery (I wish). But what really gave it away to me was the 20 bacon sandwiches!!! I sat here and thought how would anyone get the time to make 20 bacon sandwiches a day but what about the cost!!!! I must be greedy or thrifty.

There were many clues but we were all busy encouraging and supporting Pork chop. This forum welcomes everyone. Be proud that we gave her the welcome and help she needed. Even if some of us do feel a little red faced about being taken in. At least we did the right thing. Well done everyone! I am going to move on from this.

I would like to thank the moderators who handled this is a very sensitive manner and i am glad we have you guys there with your eyes and ears open for us.

What really annoys me is that I actually questioned myself over this, wondering whether or not I was just insensitive and cruel...made me wonder if I was in the right place or not, AND whether I was a nice person or not. Guess I'm not such a bad person after all.........

This has made many of us all take a look at ourselves.

Being a obese lady I always have my guard up I am always ready to defend myself from the people who just cant help themselves from being nasty to others who might look a little different from the norm.

It is a shame if it makes you wary of other newbies, but if in doubt, you can always press the report button to bring it to our attention. We really wont mind as it's important that support is here for those who really need it.

I guess on this forum we are lucky not to suffer from regular nasty 'trolling' although I did not see any posts from Porkchop that would have led me to the immediate conclusion she was a troll.
I think people on Minis are kind and generous with their time to newbies as we all want to achieve the same goal.
I use another forum which is regularly inundated with nasty trolls, some of which have actually tracked down posters in real life and harrassed them
I think we should consider ourselves lucky we do not have that.
The majority of the time as far as I can tell, on this forum we get more people spamming and joining to post links for viagra/other weight loss sites/various services.

We get a fair few trolls, but fortunately it gets dealt with quickly.

Yes, which is why this was a more difficult case (as I'm sure you can all appreciate) and couldn't be dealt with quite so quickly as normal
