Hi ive got my pre op tomorrow and I was just wondering if you need to fast for it or anything. I have been given no information and dont want to case problems having a coffee in the morning..
Well had my pre op today and the reality as hit home that my date is very close and nerves are starting to kick in because today I was told what ward I have to go to on the 3rd june at 7am. Im wanting to do l we tter for my loved ones incase the worst happens but I just cant bring my self to do it at the moment I want to try and stay positive and I think doing the letters would start the doubts and worry again. X
In ref to letters, I would write them but in a positive way. You are going to worry anyway hun and I think it would make me feel better knowing I'd written them. Good luck xxx
For the pre op first they had me filling in a health history questionnaire. The nurse then measured my height, weight and blood pressure. She then took swabs from my nose annd groin area testing to see if im a carrier of MRSA. I then went to see another nurse who went other my medical history and then a was sent to have blood tests done. Nothing to it really. X
I called today to confirm my funding was in place and it was confirmed it was. She says ill more than likely have my pre op on June 18th with a view to surgery July or August depending on whether I will need critical care etc but no definite date given.
What surgery are you having? Xxx
Lol no probs. I'm going in on monday 3rd june. Less than a week and the closer you get the quicker it seems to go lol. I've decided to start packing tonight because it is guaranteed I will forget something I need x
