Actually I had decided not to tell anyone except Mum, sister & partner. My mum did make me think coz she said you will loose a lot of weight very quickly. You may need to share with more people coz they might think you are seriously ill or something. Suddenly I realised that I didn't want that & people talking about tht kind of thing so after op started to slowly tell face to face. That worked for me.

This is something that I have been thinking over. As for the "ex-best friend" I have decided, with thanks to my sister in law that it would be best NOT to give her the satisfaction of knowing that I have a surgery date. I know she's blocked and removed me from F/B but, there's always someone running back feeding info. I figured I'll avoid all known places she attends and when I've lost a significant amount of weight I'll accidently on puropse show up and it'll be BAM in your face lol :giggle:
Is that too malicious?

So again thankyou everyone for your input - it never ceases to help me in my day to day thinkings and emotions, I dont know what I'd do without you all! xx

It sounds like you're putting way too much thought and energy into someone who really doesn't deserve it! You will be too busy living your life post op to worry about her!

If it helps I didn't make a public statement...friends and colleagues knew but then as I started being asked how I was losing 3lb week on week I just casually wrote I had a band. colleagues who I sometimes don't see for months on end love to see my progress and for those that dont comment on fb well that's their call, as I understand I've turned into a diet bore.

Now is the time to think about YOU and noone else...selfish maybe..but!!!! if they don't like it...DELETE! x

I'm sure I posted this earlier on my mums PC but its not showing? Anyways I said:
I think your right Yve, thing is there is/was so much history between us and I've known her such a long time and I guess it did and probably in a sense still hurts that such an important event in my life that someone I considered a best friend for 10 years isn't going to be there for me throughout it and obviously the things she said about me after all this time hurt too but, like you said post op I will to busy and I presume too happy to even worry about her anymore! Thanks hun. x

Thanks Jo, I think I will take that kind of approach to it. I dont need everyone and anyone to know. The amount of support I've had here is beyond amaze! I dont know what I'd do without you all, probably already said so but I really dont
