Skin on veg and fruit

Am i just being incredibly stupid or over cautious??? I think since my op i have lost some of my common sense and seem to have some irrational thoughts!!!!!

When eating fruit/veg with skin on like tomatoes, grapes, satsumas do you eat the whole thing (skin and all) or do you remove the skin???? I had some plum tomatoes a few weeks ago and afterwards i suffered terrible pains - since then i have taken the skin off. Should i stop being a wimp and just eat these foods with their skin??

I said it was a stupid thing but there you are i just wanted to know. Thank you

Hi chick, I was told to be careful when eating skin and also seeds especially in the first few weeks. It is really important to chew the skin very well if you want to swallow it. I have to be honest and says that when eating grapes especially I'm really careful and if I can't seem to chew it enough I descretely spit it out!!! x x

Grapes were a bugger for me so not had them in a while Potato skin is fine for me. I dont like fresh toms so not sure and if I have tinned toms I take any skin of and take the cor thing out

Oh thank god it's not just me then - i enjoy the foods with skin so i just take the skin off. Thank ladies hugs and fairy dust to you all xx

at the beginning I was told to peel my fruit or eat it tinned in natural juices - Im 4 1/2 months in now and its back to normal - its transitory!
