Dont know if anyone will know the answer to this but my OH is wanting to stay at the hospital with me on the night of the operation (next Saturday). Do Spire allow this? If not will see if there's a hotel nearby.
Hiya - I have my op done at spire Manchester last year.....I think they do have rooms for relatives to stay but it cost's an arm and a leg ! ! I do beleive there is a travel lodge down the road which will be you best bet.... Put in spire manchester's postcode into travel lodge website and it will bring up the nearest....
Good luck with your op you will be fine !! I would do it all over again if i had too....it was the best move i have ever made !!!.......
it costs over 150 pound a night to stay overnight at the hospital my hubby stayed in the old trafford travel lodge just beside lancashire cricket club its about 5 mins away by car or taxi and rooms are about 40 odd pound x
they can stay usually as long as they like if you are having it done properly but don't think they encourage an overnight stay in the chair don't think hubby would get much sleep as nurses are in through the night doing their obs xx
Hi there he can book a room for £150 per night but they wont let him sleep in the chair. If you ask at the reception they have a list of nearby hotels travel lodge being 1 of them
Hi my hubby took me at 7.00am check in and didnt leave until 7.00pm at night. (my op was 12.00 noon)So they are pretty good there, and to be honest your drifting in and out of consiousness anyway. He then drove back to Blackpool and came back at 8.00am next morning I was then discharged at 11.00am Hope this helps Gail.x
