Will I need a dongle if I use my laptop in hospital?Im not using it for secure sites, only to check news and chat to friends. The Spire said they give you a password when you book in.Maz x

I would say probably not.....if they are giving you a password that means it must be wi-fi so you shouldnt need your dongle :D XX

I needed a Dongle but I was in an NHS hospital with no WIFI. I think Jacqui's right, sounds like the Spire has WIFI.
It was my first time using a dongle, I was a dongle virgin! But it was easy!

As they have said above, it sounds like the hospital has wi-fi if they are giving you a password. If your laptop has wireless built in there is no need for a dongle. :)

Do they let you plug your laptop into the mains in the hospitals? Whenever I've been in they have to check all electrical equipment before letting you use it. My laptop battery only lasts 3 hours.

I discovered that I can link my laptop to my phone that acts as a wifi router so I will be using that. Though I think that the hospital has wifi.
