Will I need a dongle if I use my laptop in hospital?Im not using it for secure sites, only to check news and chat to friends. The Spire said they give you a password when you book in.Maz x
I needed a Dongle but I was in an NHS hospital with no WIFI. I think Jacqui's right, sounds like the Spire has WIFI.
It was my first time using a dongle, I was a dongle virgin! But it was easy!
As they have said above, it sounds like the hospital has wi-fi if they are giving you a password. If your laptop has wireless built in there is no need for a dongle.
Do they let you plug your laptop into the mains in the hospitals? Whenever I've been in they have to check all electrical equipment before letting you use it. My laptop battery only lasts 3 hours.
Only if your dongle gives you wifi access, if you have wifi on the laptop you wont need it. I didnt see the point taking a laptop first day you wont want to be using it and second I used my iPhone.
