tummy tuck guidelines

a friend of mine is a nurse at a private hospital that is about to start doing wls for the nhs .an they had a big meet for local gp's and apparently now more pct's are following nice guidelines, the surgeons are hoping to change tummy tuck rules too as they say it is not cosmetic its reconsructive.so lets all hope they get listened too:happy096:

i hope so but dont hold your breath, when i first had my appointment with my surgeon once everything was approved funding etc before anything could go ahead i was asked to sign a document from my pct which stated that any remidial plastic surgury could not be expected to be funded by the nhs except for extreme cases of medical need
