Does fruit blended like in to a smoothie count as liquid ? Am I just being thick ? Don't want to drink it if I'm not supposed to

I was told clear non-lumpy for liquid stage. Smoothies were for the puree stage. Each team has different rules though! xx

No I'm afraid not. I had watered down juice on liquid stage.

I was given a strawberry smoothie the day after my op in hospital. Only managed a few sips and I didn't react badly. However, I've been trying to have more milky drinks for the vitamins and calcium. Good luck.

It depends on your provider.

My guidelines were anything which goes through a straw, it didn't have to be clear.

The nurse gave me a yoghurt on the morning after my op!

I blended it using Greek yogurt but after putting it in the fridge to chill it was way to thick to drink , the nurse also gave me fruit milk shake two days after my op but that was strawberry's and milk, thanks for your reply guys x

I had a lot of natural yoghurt with fruit blended into it on the liquid stage but always added milk to make it more liquidey ! Had no problems x

Every provider is different but I was told that if it goes thru a straw ( like the thick ones you get a Burger King) then it's fine. I was also given fruit smoothies in the hospital.

I had bypass and was told that everything had to go easily up a straw too, but on the diet sheet the Hospital gave me, an example for breakfast was a fruit smoothie made with milk. It recommends against things like strawberries and blackberries as they have little bits in them. I've bought some peach slices, but haven't tried them yet, I've only been home 2 days and I'm thinking that I'll give myself a week or so before I try them.

I've just been having slim fast with added skimmed milk powder and NAS cordial. I had a tomato soup for lunch and managed to eat 200ml. I'm a bit concerned that was too much. Any clue anyone?
