Saffrons - you cannot juxtapose one PCT to another or one person's experience to your own. You get people's opinion here and it may well be positive - great, until you are refused funding and that sends you into a spiral of despair. You are doing yourself NO favours... honestly.

Your case has gone to panel. You may or may not be granted funding for bariatric surgery. However what can you do until you get to the bridge. ... . ?? Nothing! Why kill yourself with unecessary angsts - it's fruitless.

Please stop torturing yourself. When do you find out about your appeal / panel decision??

i dont know, the pct are just waiting for the weight management lady to respond to the letter the pct sent on the 4th novemeber. the panel looking at allowing funding to be released so i can book in for the end of jan. salford pct will fund surgery on completion of 6 months weight management course so i want to find out from anyone else who has completed the course how long approx funding took to be released after the finish date of the course, im not driving myself insane i just want to get other peoples opinions if they have been in the same position. so i have an idea if this request fails how long i am likely to wait, hence the questions.

I'm a bit confused because to the left your details say you are a private patient of Mr Ammori - so why funding?

confused? i was going to go private but have decided to see about nhs funding seen as it will be the same consultant and hos regardless. no confusion just not sure what route i am going down until Jan....
