I've done nothing but research lol takes my mind off food but somehow always seem to end up on YouTube watching weird freaky stuff lol, I've been referred to spire Southampton so all good on the surgeon and after care, fingers crossed it won't be too much longer xxx

Hi bbc how has it been for you so far? I was referred to bournemouth hosp in August to find out weeks later they had suspended surgery for a funding review, so gp sent refferal to Southampton spire two weeks ago, I also did my tier 3 with them, the wait is driving me nuts, I'm seeing my tier 3 diet specialist again tomorrow for a quick weigh in so hoping she may be able to find out what's going on. Have you seen anyone re your surgery yet? How long did you have to wait from referral to appointment? Xxx

Hi Jen, I started paperwork October last year 2014 and started tier three January 2015 finished in July I lost 16kg so dr and tieR three team agreed that I could be referred . Paperwork went missing theN two weEKs ago I called one of the medical secretary's to be told that they had tried to call me the day before to offer an appointment to see surgeon and nurse on the 9th October! Then found out they had the wrong contact details for me so that was all correct, I then asked if funding had been approved her reply was "of course that's why I've called you" I bust out crying with relief and she was lovely to me.....just pooping myself about tomorrow....again can't believe there maybe a light or glimmer at the end if that long tunnel.

Thank-you I finished teir 3 in July and was recommended for surgery funding was approved Aug 17 and I was referred to bournemouth weeks later found out they had put it all on hold so gp referred me to the spire that was two weeks ago, I saw sally for a quick weigh in today and spoke to her about it and she mentioned debs the bariatric nurse so have emailed her this afternoon to see if that gets me anywhere lol you can but try ? good luck tomorrow hopefully you'll get a date fairly soon so the nerves don't get too bad xxx
