re Luton and Dunstable

Can't wait for next appt
For those of you that have had surgery at Luton and Dunstable, is the HDU and ward 22 in the surgical block or in the main part of the hospital. Thank you.
 
hi, i was in both these wards.
as you walk in at the main entrance, down that little road where the ambulances park, it's the tall building on the left. i dont know what floor either of them was on but i do remember it was quite high up.

yea its in the surgical block u will go up to the 2nd floor of the day of ur op (if ur going in on the same day that is) u will be there a while then they will take u through to do all ur pre op checks and get changed into ur night gown that they give u so much sure u take dressing gown and slippers then u will meet ur surgeon (or befor u get changed i cant remember) then u will sit there again and wait to be called the the surgery floor either 4th or 5th floor and then wait again then they will check who u r check all ur paperwork then wait to be call through for ur surgery then u say good by to who evers with u and then u will be taken to a room and they will put ur needle in ur hand u will go sleep and then wake up in recovery and u will feel pain but u have a morphin drip its fun but u wont properly wake up for hours when i woke up i was in the hdu and the nurses in there r lovely xx

Yes it is as the others have said, and i to was in both you will get well looked after they are brilliant i was a very lucky one i never had no pain after i just wanted to sleep, you are in good hands try not to worry hun
 
I dont remember coming round in recovery, lol and didn't have to go to HDU just back to my bed in ward 22
