I have just joined the site. Last week I discussed surgery with my GP and she agreed to refer me to a specialist to discuss options, so I am now waiting for the appointment !

I would be grateful for any tips/support/advice regarding this first appointment and the future.

Welcome to Mini's

I have not had surgery yet so I can't give you any post op advice...But there are lots of people here who are very well informed and will be happy to advise you.

We all support each other here and every question will get answered offering advice and support.

I was referred for bypass a couple of months ago, I had my first group meeting with my surgeon last month which was very informative...I am hoping that my one-2-one with the surgeon will be within the next month and then my surgeon (if approved) will go ahead within the next 18 weeks after that.
