Feels like a breakthrough

hmmmm i am struggling i focus on protien for intake but i KNOw i need to up my veggie/fruit stage how can i do that on the soft stage when i am full all the time, and cant eat more then a thin layer in the bottom of my cereal dish at any meal. Today i found myself snacking because i know i need more intake, i do not want to 'graze' i would prefer to train myself to 3 meals a day that held a good nutitional content

At your stage i wouldn't really worry about the amount your eating or trying to eat protien, your bodies have a few million calories to live on, and if you dont eat anything for a month its not realy going to hurt you - the liquid and sloppy stages are all about getting your insides healed up and back to normal slowly re introducing foods.

Lisa - yes get the slow cooker out and go for it, but as i said before go real easy and see how it goes, your pouch alien will let you know if its happy or not.

Second week of sludge stage i made nachos, which was a handful of tortilla chips, some gucamoli, grated cheese a splodge of soured cream, under the grill for 5 minute - fab delicious melted heaven :D

Glad you were ok with this Richard, but that is very high in fats, and could cause fat dumping and/or bowel problems in a lot of people. It would certainly make me ill even now.

Its never caused me a problem - at sloppy i ate so little anyway i never had any issues, not sure if thats down to the skill of the knife man or my body ? - only problem i ever had was 2 days post op i had a can or red thai soup and spent the next day on the loo :8855:

Everybody is different and can stomach different things, the key is to try, go slow and see how things go !

Cheers Richard,

It's great that you tell it like it is and as much as i want to eat healthy, I can't do it all the time (otherwise I wouldn't have needed surgery in the first place) I would never take it that just cos someone is ok with it, then I will be. I know everyone is different and its trial and error.

Funny thing is though, I've been craving crisps and savoury snacks etc but as soon as you said I may be OK with Nachos, the craving started to ease!!! Its the mind games we play on ourselves, now I know they're not off limits.....I'm not as bothered!!!!

Thanks for the advice, its invaluable....now cos I've been so nice to you.......you tube the coke thing ROFL!!!!!

Only kiddin, thanx Richard x x x

No worries - cravings are good, i get them even now, but strangely when you have the thing you've craved it never tastes as good as you thought it would, and you've killed the craving !

Your dead right we are all different and everyone's tolerance to different foods will differ, thats why what ever you try you should do it slowly and in moderation until you know what affect it has, anyone of us can dump on absolutely anything, i've been told by my dietician of a bypasser he has under him that dumps on bread ! so you never know whats going to hit you and when.
A little bit of what you fancy now and then isn't going to hurt you, it wont suddenly stop you losing weight provided you dont do it all the time. ;)

ooh a little bit of what I fancy, this day just gets better lol x x x
