Having a sleeve!!

How about having a look at some recipes find something you fancy and go out n get the ingredients to make it? I often find somethin homemade sorts me out. Or pop out and have a starter somewhere treat yourself x

I've looked for recipes I just can't decide what I want.. And I don't know what I can have, I'm scared to try things if it's not in the recommended diet sheet.. It's so annoying.. I won't go out anywhere to eat by myself I'm too worried something will happen and I can't go to my sisters cause they will more than likely be having a take away.. It's getting me so frustrated I'm actually laid in bed crying about it. I feel stupid.. :( xx

Well then mrs! You shouldn't be letting your surgery hold you back! You know the main core ingredient you should be having is protein you could get some crispy prawns if your sisters having take out or a small starter. Cos of the stage your on you could go and have pate or something like that. It does not have to be boring for you. Invite a friend out or a family member take things slow. You don't need to panic just stick to the rules. What about a shepherds pie with some crunchy veg life doesn't have to be boring for you. You could try pasta everything's trial and error but it will get better. Don't let it best you, you've made the decision to have surgery to change your life, don't be upset and don't he afraid to try things cos well you won't know unless u try what about a sausage casserole? X

I don't know why I'm letting it get to me.. Like o said it's the first major problem I've had.. I think I'm going to get some sausages tomorrow and make sausage and mash.. It's harder because I live by myself so it's harder to cook for one IMO.. I've gone for sweet potato mash with chive cottage cheese and some low fat grated cheese for now.. Xx

We that sounds lush! You could always try some weight watchers ready meals. I always stock up on them for days when I just can't be bothered x

Sorry to hear you'd have rough eve hun...it is difficult inspiring to cook/eat for 1 all week...but as Kirsty mentioned don't be afraid to go out, I've been out several times sampled soup, chicken & veg, etc.
Probs more convenient to get friends round for nibbles (bring your own type thingy) so it doesn't feel as samey as every other night....

Crackers
Cheese - any sort list is endless :) LF of course!
Pate
Hummus
Cherry toms
Cucumber
Silverskin pickled onions
Cheese pineapple (yummy)
Tuna,mayo,sweet corn
Egg mayo

I'm also lovin corned beef mashed up with sweet brown pickle.....#dribbles

We're born nurturers, and food = comfort, just coz we've had WLS, doesn't mean we don't need to enjoy, on occasions the act of 'eating' ....

Well done on lost poundage this week as well!!! :)

That all sounds amazing! I'm not sure if I'm allowed raw veg as I'm sure in my booklet it says to not confuse crispy/crunch with raw veg... I'll have another read later.. Brown pickle? Is that branston pickle? X

no raw veg yet hun as it cant be turned to mush the way crackers can

I don't feel raw veg yet if your on the mush stage just give it time your body will let you know when it's time to have it I still struggle with raw veg and beef and I am 18 months out but still enjoy all strange stuff
A friend of mine had a pot of Chinese curry sauce and he is on soft stage it's the taste he needed but it seemed to work

I've been wanting curry sauce from the Chinese since Tuesday.. But I'm holding off! I have 2 Chinese takeaways, 3 chippys and 3pizza shops all in less than a mile radius of my home along with cafes and sandwich shops.. They all smell amazing it makes me grumpy!

I had swede carrot and parsnip mash with gravy just great he found the pot of curry sauce helped when his family had Chinese
Not very good for you but helped him through the tough times

You could have some mashed carrot, if your lazy like me you can buy the aunt Bessie's frozen stuff x

i love the aunt bessie stuff, great for me since i can only manage a few cubes a time

I'm going to stock up on some frozen veg when I go shopping.. I can manage carrots and swede, not really tried any other veg other than mash pots and sweet pots..

I'm about to tuck into pork and tomato sausage, a boils egg and a tomato ragu sauce... Wish me luck! Lol x
