I am on day 2 of my milk diet (only 26 to go!!) I’m really struggling. Any tips anyone?? Xx
All of the above, keep occupied, when I done the initial 4 week one had had chicken oxo in hot milk everyday but this time post op I haven’t done that, lots of milky coffee, and chocolate nas crusha and focus on the reason your doing it and the end result xxxI am on day 2 of my milk diet (only 26 to go!!) I’m really struggling. Any tips anyone?? Xx
Thank you for your replies.. thank god for chocolate crusha and Bovril! I’m still finding it hard but sticking with it.
I know I shouldn’t weigh ( but I have!!) and I haven’t lost any weight yet which I disappointing to say the least. I feel a bit gutted to be honest.
Yes I am on the 4 week L&D milk diet and I have tried to be positive about it (!) I just thought I would see a bit of a weight loss.
This is why I am never going to lose weight myself.... the obsession with numbers! Lol xx
It's still early days. I fell in the trap of weighing myself daily during that first week. Nothing seemed to happen and then all the sudden it started coming off. Just be patient, keep on keeping on and you'll get there.
It will happen but you must remember it’s about shrinking the liver, in this case to prove you can tolerate the milk in prep for surgery, I only lost 8kg on my first milk diet I know other who have lost more and less, on the pre op milk diet I lost it 1 stone 4lb in 3 weeks but 13lb of that was the first week, please don’t stress over it and try to avoid jumping on the scales to often xxIt seems incredible to have eaten nothing and only 1000 cals in liquid to have not lost anything at all! Anyway I shall stick with it and see what happens.
How much did you lose over the 4 weeks? Xx
Well done on weight loss. I think you have to see a medical doctor who will pass you fit for surgery. You have to complete tier 3 which is 6 months or 12 months depending on what your BMI was at the beginning. You will then have to wait for the MDT which is a group session, 3 hours long, where you meet dietician, nurse and psychologist. Finally you meet the surgeon and and anaesthesist who will put you on the waiting list. There is a wait between each appointment but it is so worth it in the end. Good luck to you xxxWell I weighed myself at the end of week 1 and I’d lost 9lbs which I’m pleased with. The whole thing has gotten a little easier and I can actually see I might be able to do this for 4 weeks! I’ve taken the battery out of the scales and given it to my mum lol!!
Weighing once a week only!!
Who can tell me what’s the next stage at L&D?? Xxx

I am 7 months out and don’t feel the restriction as much as I had hoped but it is still the best thing I have ever done. I can tolerate most things but don’t seem to care for alcohol any more but that is not a bad thing really. I have a lot of loose skin and when I get to where I am comfortable I will think about that xxThank you all so much. I’m hoping that I’ll be signed off from tier 3 when I go back in May. Because of my BMI I’m on the 6 month tier 3 but will still need to wait for the funding for tier 4 to be out in place before anything else happens. Okie girl I’m hoping by the end of the year too! Fingers crossed.
Blingbabe and Maria61 how are you finding life since having the surgery? Xxx
I’m 10 days out and so far so good, the only thing I really miss at the moment is drinking my nice hot coffee really quickly. Well done on managing the milk diet so well xxThank you all so much.
