Hi everyone .I got refered for wls the beginning of March 2017 have my first appointment through for April 19th .was told in the letter it will be 4 hours long ..I have a bmi of 43.2 and have high cholesterol and high blood pressure both medicated .my gp put me forward .I'm so scared but excited all in one ..what will happen at my first appointment? Why is it 4 hours long ? Does anyone no the criteria for walsall manor please any help will be greatly appreciated thank you xxxxx
 
P.s forgot to mention. .I have the early stages of COPD and severe arthritis in both my knees ..would this effect the decision at all thanks again xx
 
Hi My appointment was about 4 hours, I got to see a nurse , dietician and specialist doctor, you will have to fill in forms about your eating habits and ailments etc, make sure you jot things down before you go, It a heavy morning, and I was so confused when I left,

Thank you very much ..The letter does say will be seeing different people .I'm excited to eventually be on this journey after years of thinking about it. Even if they put me on tier 3 ill be happy to do anything as long as I get that surgery at the end again thank you for your help xxx
 
That thought definitely keeps you going! I've never really been able to stick to a diet before so surgery seems like a last hope for me. The threat of losing that hope keeps me trying!
