not feeling good

Hi there, not a bypasser but a bander, but I would say that you very early days only 3 weeks out, so give yourself a break and try not to overdo things, your intake of calories and energy will be very low to begin with.

Look after you and hope you feel better soon x

Sometimes when people complain of dizzyness etc the experienced bypassers ask them if they've drunk enough? Also as Caz says you are still very early post op, first day of the school run can be hectic after a break from it... I'd worry if the symptoms continue, in which case either speak to your team or get down the docs and get your bp etc checked out xxxx

thank you for the advice one and all xx
just to add i have seen the doc today and my blood pressure was slightly low but nothing to be concerned over.
apparently its something we adjust to along the way as result of eating less etc.
anyway its bank hols weekend and 2 wk school hols now for us so should have no excuses not to rest up a bit now!

Hiya, am also from cornwall, and may be having mr wellbourne, saw him in Taunton. Have got my pre op on 4 May, but been told it could be any surgeon. I know you can't pm me as you have not enough posts, but would be good to keep in touch. I am in Penzance, whereabouts are you? xxxxx

Hi again, I saw Mr Wellbourne when I went for my consultation, and thought I would be having him for the op, but was told that it could be any of the surgeons. How long were you in hospital for, and were the staff ok?
They are having a new surgeon start in april apparently, but he is not as experienced as the other two, so hope I don't have him :-(((((
Am going through the stages of thinking am I doing the right thing, why can't I just diet etc. I guess everyone thinks like that.
Will be good to keep in touch, are you on facebook? xxxx

hi moomingirl, nice to see you on here, i'v been off line for a while, so i havent seen any of your posts but i'll be looking out for you now.
this feeling is normal so dont worry about it, it will pass.

Lack of fluids hun - ensure you get your 2 litres and remember the calorie intake wont help either as you will be getting so little fuel from your food (or lack of food!) Take it easy and keep those fluids up! A year on if I dont have my fluids I still get very light headded x

You need to put your feet up! Honestly, if you over do it, you will regret it (I am talking from experience).

Make sure you eat too, I know that's an odd thing to say when you have just had a bypass, but it's important not to go too long in between, even just a few licks of the lid of a muller light :)

Drink, lots, and rest. Dehydration after a bypass is really hard to get over, I ended up needing iv fluids in hospital. You DO NOT want to get to that.

your links and pm's are not working because you have to do more posts, i think it's 10.
ps. go on to word association to bump your posts up a bit.
