Not quite a bride-to-be

I'm not a bride to be, we got married in 2010 however one of my targets for after surgery is to get my wedding photos reshot.

We got married in the Dominican Republic so I chose a beautiful strapless dress which fitted beautifully when I was having all my alterations etc done in this country however the heat and humidity made the dress stick and cling in all the wrong places and no amount of talc shifted it. The end result was me looking and feeling like a porn star with my boobs hanging out and constantly needing the dress adjusted - needless to say the dress wasn't kept on long (I quickly changed into a generic summer dress).

I have the photographers photos on a disc somewhere but hate them so much that I have none of them displayed anywhere in the house. I want a beautiful album and some beautiful prints to put up. I am willing to wear the same dress as it is my wedding dress but I need to have the weight off and get the dress completely altered to fit me completely in my new body.

So this is part of my motivation towards getting my surgery, now just to get the finances sorted so I don't have to wait too long to get my wedding album.

Hi and welcome

Having your photo's re-done/renewing vows sounds like a lovely idea xx

That's such a lovely idea :)
It's mine and hubbies wedding anniversary today :) We've been married 3 years, but been together nearly 10 years.

Haven't lost any weight yet, I'm still pre-op and I don't think my surgery will happen before October at the earliest but I know it will happen and therefore I am still looking outward to life Post op

Congrats to u both me n hubby have been together for 14 years only married 2 years this month

I hope your new pics are all you wish for. xx

lovely idea.. hope it all works out.

Have you thought of renewing your vows instead? You can still wear your wedding dress and you will have guests to join you in your photos - it's a lot cheaper than getting married as well (just a thought).

We want to do that as well - but on a special anniversary (and with a new slinky dress) so want a new photo album with the original dress as well
