He has referred me!!!! Oh my. He has known me since I was a baby and knows exactly what Ive been through with my weight, what ive tried ect. He wasnt exactly sure how to refer at first ( maybe he hasnt done it before? ) so we went to see the medical secretery and she told him we needed to send off a form, so will filled it in together and she will send it off. She said they check I fit the criteria, I do, and then they check for funding. God I Hope I get it. How soon do you think I could hear something?

Well done!! I was so nervous about asking and have now been approved. Just based on my own experience it may be worth chasing up if you have not heard after about 8 weeks or so. I assumed it took a long time and waited 8 months before asking my Doctor what was happening. She was shocked I had not heard anything so 6 weeks after her chasing it up for me Ive now got approval and waiting for an appointment to see a surgeon.

Lynsey that is wonderful news i think it depends where you live for any appointments to come through etc but at least you know you will be on the losers bench one day - just fabulous news x

Great news Lynsey I am sure it will all go well.
I heard 10 weeks after I was referred so just depends when the PCT have their meetings. But try just to forget about it and then suddenly the news will just come out of the blue
My GP phoned to ask me to make an appt as she had something she needed to discuss with me, so three days later saw her and she told me
