waiting at the bus stop today, minding my own business, car full of girls drove passed. one shouted at me....now if these girls had a brain between them they wouldve noticed i had earphones in. i began to think nasty things, then thought...no, i'm older and better than them. stuff em, i sign up at the gym tomorrow, hopefully induction this week too. hopefully i will never see them again, but if i do, i will look different, lost weight. whether its this side of surgery or that side

Ive had it myself when I was on a cycle ride with my daughter, there not worth the attention, just ignore them hunny.

I know we all wonder 'what are they thinking/saying' but the truth is the chances are it is nothing to do with what we think! This is your amazing journey, stuff them....you are doing this for you no-one else....and just look at how well you are doing so far and the decision for surgery and the gym shows what amazing strength you have in the first place. You keep going girl....this is just the beginning of something so very special xx

I totally echo what the others have said x x

People feel they have a right to 'pick on' anyone that doesn't fit the 'normal label'

Yesterday I saw something that made me see red and it was only my other half holding me back that stopped me ripping the heads off two teenage girls.

We were due to meet some friends for lunch and on the way there we walked past a lady in a wheelchair who was wearing a flowery dressing gown and a big floppy white hat. I admit we did the 'raised eyebrows' at each other but suddenly these girls ran up to her and started filming her on their mobile phones and shrieking with laugher in her face and saying they were going to post it on to Facebook. I don't think I've been as shocked in a long time as I was then.

My point is, these sort of people are sub-intelligence morons who have to try and bring others down as they are too lazy than to try and improve themselves xx

My hubby who is still 22+ stone has been cycling since Xmas and has lost 4 stone by just cycling each day and cutting out beer. He actually did a 22.5 mile ride on Saturday and I am very proud of him.. he tells me he must get a 'fat ba**ard' comment shouted at him at least once a day and it must hurt but he says they are the idiots... he is doing something about it and will loose the weight.. unfortunately they won't get any more brain cells so will always be stupid sigh!!

Easier said than done... but just let it wash over you if you can

she will have forgotten all about you as soon as it happened and moved on to someone else Hun - she has a long road to travel and someone one day may say something horrible to her - what goes around comes around . Stay strong and believe in yourself xxx

I heard a lovely true tale about a friend of mine . . . . he got on a bus with his then G/F who was maybe a size 22/24 . . . she made her way to the upper deck . . . as she reached the upper deck four men sat at the rear of the bus began making ‘grunting noises’ . . . Andy (my friend)wearing a large unflattering ex army coat chose to ignored the men and sat with his G/F – the men must then have thought that they had the upper hand – four of them against two fatties ~ anyway long one short when Andy and his G/F got to her stop they got off and the ‘grunting’ got louder . . . Andy escorted his G/F off the bus to a waiting car (her father I think) they said their goodbyes – the men were now shouting out of the window as the bus set off – can you imagine their surprise when Andy took his coat off and started running after the bus – the bus kept going and Andy kept running – he caught up with the bus at the next stop and got on – he went upstairs and to the back of the bus where there sat four very quiet men (!) “Do you remember me” he asked . . . they did not say one single word as they looked at Andy’s 6'5" and 22st frame of solid muscle . . . xx

Chase me, chase me lol. Dont know why but being chased always makes me laugh like a maniac. I think its really exciting lol Weird or what!!

Well done you for not reacting and for being proactive rather than reactive and for not turning the feelings they invoked in on yourself.
You are a far better person than they will ever be they showed their ignorance and you sowed you were a far better and mature person. Keep it up and you will win hands down.
