weight loss surgery meetings

hi everyone im thinking of going to a wls meeting in june im a wee bit aprehensive going on my own i know this sounds a silly question but will i have to stand up and give a little history about myself? i have to go on my own cos noone knows i have had surgery. Julie

Hi Julie
I would defo go with you if I lived in Belfast because I`d luv to go as well , but it would take me about an hour and a half to get up there . I wouldn`t think you would have to stand up and give a speech . Think its just a place to meet up and have a chat and have a coffee . The people that would be there are pre and post op , I`m not to sure if the is Doctors that goes as well . Good luck and take care .
