Hi chynadoll, I have my surgery the 9th.

Omg... I havnt followed your post from day one.... But having read what you have said has just painted a brief picture in my head... My tears are flowing because I can relate to you...having been in that same place ( and still is in that dark hole) Well done for getting your op date and all the best for the future... it will only get better now....Bless!

Hiya! I'm sad to hear you're still in a dark place. I really hope that you find what it takes to pull you out. I know it's so rough and I still have really bad anxiety sometimes and my down days so I can't suggest a magic cure.. I wish I could. I will do!! 2 weeks til I start pre op I'll probably be glued to the forum if it's anything like Cambridge cos I know I'll struggle lol ^_^ xxx

Hi, just read through your heartbreaking thread. You poor girl. I'm 4 months post op an life has changed dramatically for me an I'm so pleased your going to experience a better life for yourself. Good luck with your op an all to come with it. I can't wear to hear your updates. All the best xxx

I'm kind of anxious now but trying to enjoy these last 2 weeks before pre op haha. Wow 4 months out? How much have u lost so far if you don't mind and how are you finding things now you're all settled and getting into the swing of things?

I've lost 4st 10 since the op, 1st during milk diet an 1st prior to the that just getting ready. It's took till about now to get used to things, some days I can eat 1 thing the next I can't eat it. But I stuck to the dietician/surgeons instructions all the time and Ive had no problems at all. I had to have to open surgery due to carrying all my weight around my middle they said, I was 28 st at the start of this. I was only in hospital 2 days an recovered really quickly. If I had to do it all again I would, In the 2 years prior to having the op I only left the house to go to work an didn't go anywhere socialising with friends or family. I only shopped online as people thought it was acceptable to be rude in tesco etc an rather than be upset I just didn't go out. There's no stopping me now, I'm in the pub, restaurants wherever I fancy going I go! I have found joining this site very helpful as people always are there with advice an support an you need anything you only have to ask xx
