Filling foods

I had my band June 6th, and have had two fills.

I get discomfort if I don't chew properly, so I'm working on that.

Which foods do you guys find keep you full for a long time? I'm finding I generally eat less now, but am not sure what the best solid fibrous foods are...

Thanks!

Good question! This has been quite difficult for me as I have quite a lot in my band but still have problems feeling full. I tend to control things by calorie counting (it has worked well for me in my particular circumstances)
The band daily menus thread has some ideas of what some of us eat.
I find thickish porridge quite filling in the morning, scrambled egg (although be careful it doesn't get stuck)
A couple pieces of wholemeal toast (I have a low fat cheeese triangle and tons of cherry tomato grilled on top)
Most meats are filling, green salad with tuna (not too much dressing...the less dressing the slower it goes down)
I have plenty of veggies to bulk up my meals but less starches. I have cauliflower instead of pasta or potatoes.
