Furry Teeth Argh!

I agree with the others. The use of oxygen during the op makes our mouth dry and if you have a CPAP machine this adds to the problem. The fact that it is difficult to get enough fluid in and lack of chewing, definately adds to the problem. I found using the dry mouth spray and sucking on ice cubes also helped. Infact, the sugar free ice pops were even nicer.

ive got an issue thats really begining to annoy me!

im 2 weeks post op (had a sleeve), started puree yesterday. For the last 3 days ive had furry teeth :( Feels like i havent brushed them!

Ive brushed my teeth so much ive made my gums bleed now :eek:

Can anyone help? Why are my teeth furry? And how can i stop them being that way?

Wow been there! It has something to do with your mouth being drying during and after surgery.
