Thanks Kirsty, I hope so. I am so looking forward to going away, not worried about fitting on the plane as I usually am! Not long for you now, how you feeling? xxx

Weigh day (a day late) 6 weeks now and another 2lb loss. Yes I would have liked more but still pleased with this. Things are pretty uneventful at the moment to be honest. Still struggling to eat much at all! I think I can start exercising now so hoping to get personal trainer back and go swimming. I go on my holidays 6 weeks time, how much do you think I could lose by then? Would love to have another stone off! Anyway typical food day: B - 1 Weetabix L - 1/2 pack of M and S teriyaki chicken bites D - 1/2 salmon fillet and a floret of cauliflower S - strawberries averaging about 3-500 calories from food each day and aiming to increase by lattes. Hope you are all ok :D

Well done Jackie you are doing really well. Whatever you lose I know you will feel great when that six weeks is up. :)

Do you find it hard getting holiday gear when you are losing ? Was looking at the TU online store which is new and already the clothes look a bit autumny and drab. Think I will have to guess my size for September and buy now as the stuff I had in May is too big.

How are you energy levels ?

Thanks Chrissy, how are you?
I have not bought any holiday clothes yet as was not sure of size but I think I will have to now. Don't think I will change that much in 6 weeks! The only thing I have is a few pairs of those loose elastic waist trousers from Next and Monsoon which I will wear. I would still never be seen in a pair of shorts even on holiday
Will make a difference mind not feeling really self conscious.

I never usually wear shorts but in May I wore a pair of knee length denim shorts all the time. I was hoping to find a smaller size, as they are now way too big, but Sainsburys only have the big sizes left. I am gutted as these were the first pair I liked for years. I am now thinking I will buy jeans and cut off to the same length, as long as I can get the leg width about the same as done want sprayed on jegging look. I found wear these with a loose top was spot on for daytime and at least let my legs get some tan.

If you get stuff that is a just a little tight now that should be fine. Having said that I like my comfort especially when in hot climes. :) Its 8 and a half weeks before I go back to Turkey with my best mate and there wont be any summer stuff available in September. Lol its guesswork hun. X

You don't say where you are off to but in my case I know there's quite a good choice of summer stuff available in the resort if I run out, plus we will have a washing machine lol.

Re other stuff. I am fine but starting to obsess a bit about me being able to eat so much. I also think about food almost constantly which I didn't before :(. It disturbs me a bit especially as I read how most folks forget to eat after a bypass. I cannot say its hunger but it's always there. These two things together have me worried about how I am going to keep on a good path eating wise. The immobility is adding to the first I think, means boredom, so I eat. Struggling to keep below 1000 cals and I bet if I put my mind to it I could double that. Worrisome. I emailed my provider contact but no reply so far.

We are all so different.

Hugx

Well done Jackie, don't forget every lb counts and it all adds up! Some days I struggle to eat and others I feel 'starving'. Xx

I was worrying that i ate/was able to eat much more than others post my bypass surgery from first weeks. I dont dump at all aswell so i totally understand your worries!

Its a good move to contact your team.. But i found that no matter what other people said to me i still was worried. I had to work on my head accepting that everyone is different and everyone is eating different things anyway.. So as long ad you follow the rules and do your best every time you will be great! Its really tough that working on your head part! I am 10months post op and its still a working progress for me! ;)

Well done on your loss Jackie, slow and steady wins the race, all those pounds add up and soon turn to stones :)

Thanks everyone, your support is brilliant! Xxx

Well done Jackie for maintaining losses. That's an achievement in itself. I hope your holiday is a joy. Any loss before then will be great and you can relax knowing it's impossible to sabotage your good work at the moment as eating isn't easy! Take care x

Thanks Debs, how you doing? I totally agree with the eating not being easy part! xx

Thanks Carol, any news your end? x

No not yet, went to see the diabetic specialist. He told me what insulin and tablets I would need on the LSD. And what to take after the op. He said he would email Mr Schroeder to say he had seen me and what we discussed re the diabetes. So am just waiting for an appointment for the camera.
