Hi Ladies

Yes definitely still up for the meet with the room booked. Sorry not been on much so busy at work. Been away for a conference this weekend and some lovely comments from those who had not seen me for a while. Have now lost 5 stone 6 and BMI 26.6.

xxxx

WOW Alison,fantastic!

Yes I am looking forward to our get together too. My hotel is also booked. Oh will be nice to shop, eat, chat and rest! It is delightful not to any house work..no?

I am really pleased you are both on board too.
Birmingham, here we come.

Think it's in my gallery Siana.

Wow Alison, well done! You've gone past your goal. Amazing!!

Yes Tules, shopping, chatting, relaxing. Be lovely to meet face to face!

Just got back from three days away on training, eaten crap, feel crap!
Must get back to exercise and diet regime!!

Wow! Just worked out my fundraising walk raised £273.75!
I thought I'd be lucky to get£100!

Wow! O.M.G!!
Today I have been to clinic to see specialist nurse and dietician - today I weigh 12 stones.....that's a total loss of 7st 9lbs, 5st 7lbs of which is since February!

I am still 16 size bottoms and 14 top but yesterday got a nice size 12 top which is still roomy!

The nurse said that I now weigh less than her!
She's a similar height to me too!
I was sooo shocked!!

In my head my perception is that I'm still bigger!
Anyone else have that?

I think I have arrived!

Amazing congratulations! I catch myself in the mirror and have the take a second glance.
I'm bought a pair of Levi's from the proper shop at at the weekend and the lady looked at me really strangely when I asked her how you figure out the sizes because I had never bought a pair of jeans! And I was a size 27 which is a ten!

Amazing! Congratulations Caroline xx

That's fantastic for both of you Ruth and Caroline. Yes I find it hard to see myself in photos and I look tiny as in my head I still feel like a big lump. I am living being smaller and the energy it gives you.

Well done Ruth!!!

Yes you have done it!!! Amazing weight loss.

Size 27, that's fantastic Caroline. Enjoy.

Can't wait to see you guys. let us bring pre operation photos...and celebrate new US. Also use those as a deterrent sadly my binge eating coming back. Was hoping this darn hunger hormone would not come back this soon .

Exercise is the answer....

Thank you ladies!
Alison, I too am loving being smaller and the energy is good apart from being menopausal! I'm finding that is sapping my energy levels! Love looking at and trying on clothes these days too!
Tules, could your hunger thing be related to changes in season......snacking, grazing, more comfort foods on the market this time of year, I find when its cold it's hard to eat healthy because our natural default position is to stay warm and hibernate.

Have you tried to drink something instead of eating when you get a craving? Sometimes having a drink will reduce the feeling, as long as you're eating three meals per day!
I too am wanting stodgy crap food to keep warm, salads just don't cut it!
It's very hard isn't it!
Xx

Hey all!

Not been on for a while so lost touch with everyone's progress! I lost an uncle and step dad the end of the summer just a day apart so was pretty challenging as always turned to food for comfort?! I stalled for about two months but the last week it's begun to move and I have managed to get to the gym after not going for about 6 weeks!

We got a new puppy so I am getting lots walking in too which I am sure has helped! This morning I am 0.5lb off my lowest ever adult weight do overjoyed! Total loss is 6 st 13! I never would of thought it was ever possible! Hope your journeys are all going well

Lynne x

Hi Lynne,
So sorry for you losses. It must have been so hard for you.
Congratulations on your weight loss, that's an amazing loss.
Some of us are having a get together next month in Birmingham for a girly weekend if you fancy it?

Hi Cherub,
Yes you are right. The season is changing and I am definitely in hibernation mode. Will try to drink instead of eating when I "feel" hungry. Got to beat this.

Lynnepoth sorry to hear about your losses. Must be hard time for you and family.

Good weight loss all around. I see at marvel at my new normal looking figure. Shopping wise...am going to use cherub and Alison as my stylists... so used to buying things to cover up...that being the main objection...don't know what to wear now. Definitely not going to baggy stuff, so ...now what?

What a fab idea a meet up! I would of loved to have come but can't afford to this close to Christmas! If you have one again next year would love to come!

Yes life been a little hectic this last year and never thought I would be at this weight! Life is on the up and losing the weight just makes life 100% more enjoyable! I intend to start doing the things that weight has stopped me doing so far!

Hi Tules,

What next....... We go shopping for some lovely clothes to show off your marvellous figure! Hope you're saving your pennies!
I've been buying from Bon Marche and George at Asda whilst I'm still losing as they are cheap and cheerful. That way it's not too expensive buying new clothes that I look good and feel amazing in every time I drop a dress size, which is every 6 weeks ish.

When I stabilise I will really consider more what I buy. Have a few classic items, mix and match. We only wear 20% of our clothes 80% of the time! So that's why I thought that way. Realistically though, I love trying on clothes now and looking at fashion, think it may be hard to stick to that one!! Plus I will buy a couple of lovely Joe Browns coats dos I love them! Xx

Hi Lynne,
You sound determined!
What is your total weight loss now?
How much more do you want to lose or what dress size?
What is on your list of things to do that your weight previously stopped you doing?

Mine is 7st 9lbs total, 5st 7lbs since feb.
Want to get to 10 stone and dress size 12-14.
I'm already doing them! Getting fitter and healthier and have just given up my disabled badge for the car. I want to do a charity sky dive next year and have recently done a light the night walk raising £273.
Saving up to buy a narrow boat and am getting married on Christmas Eve!
I asked the dietician at my appointment this week what my goal weight should be and I was really surprised at her response. She said that they don't believe in trying to get to a goal weight, that it's more about seeing where your weight loss surgery takes you; what dress size you are in, where you feel comfortable in your own skin, your improved health and fitness benefits.
I am still losing but slower than earlier this year, but still have a large tummy, it is where I carried most of my weight before, so if I could just reduce that by even half of what it is now, I'd be happy at what ever weight and dress size I ended up in.

It's hard to keep motivated when life throws us curve balls. I do hope that you are looking after yourself in every way and finding comfort and support from those around you.
Losses are always so hard to come to terms with and recover from. Nothing will nor can ever replace your loved ones. Keep remembering and keep talking about them will help you manage, you may not think so at that time, but in the longer term, you will see this. I used to with my dad after my mum died, he would be so sad at losing her, understandably. And I used to be sad with him and we'd exchange stories, we'd both be crying and then laughing by the end of our conversations.
Big hugs love xxx

Saw bariatric nurse today, was considering not going because it's been a hard month, really long hours at work, back late, eating crap cos too tired to cook, no time to exercise, feeling guilty , convinced I had put on at least a stone....So all the old avoidance behaviour crept in, thinking of excuses not to go.....but gave myself a slap and went, the good news is no gain! Not much loss but hey ho, so had my second fill ever since Feb (now have a whole 0.5ml in my band) and its onwards and upwards!

That's good news Siana!
Onwards and upwards.
And what have you learned?
You say life has been so hard and busy with no motivation to cook and no time to exercise and you feel guilty.............what will you do differently? Xx

Hey guys,
Hobo like your outlook Ruth. Was feeling just like Siana, have a cold, work busy, eating bad... but your question...above really made me rethink. Yes you are right, learn from this and plan better next time. I even did the overeating and throwing up business today! Lesson learned, onwards is the way to go. Thanks.

Glad to hear weight loses all around. I am now settled down on 73 kilos. That is perfect for me. If I can keep this from now on, I will be very happy indeed. I was size 16-18 , and sometimes 20. Now range between sizes 12-14. Wish you will all reach your ideal weight too xx
