Things I'm looking forward to (in the right area!!)

Meant to put this in the general area as opposed to sleeve;




I think I've done a similar post years ago before I chickened out of WLS but thought I'd make a list of things im looking forward to post WLS when im nearer a normal weight. I hope itl spur me on when im nervous approaching surgery! Theres prob loads of threads like this but obv feel free to add stuff if you want!!

1. Less joint pain.
2. Not going to bed feeling like crap cus ive just eaten an entire large pizza by myself at midnight
3. Sleeping better without feeling a pressure on my neck
4. fitting in rollercoaster rides
5. more energy
6. being more sociable
7. not being worried about my tummy showing during 'intimate times'
8. possibly better fertility
9. fitting in my work uniform better
10. less sweating when its hot
11. clothes shopping and not absolutely hating clothes
12. wearing high heels for the first time
13. more confidence
14. not worrying about horrible children calling me names
15. not worrying about dropping dead of a heart attack at 40
16. fitting better in plane seats
17. going skiing
18. wanting to have pictures taken instead of running when i see a camera
19. not hating what i see in the mirror
20. not weighing more than a big muscly man!
21. not wincing when i go to a doctors appointment and they want to weigh me
22. being generally more active
23. maybe improved symptoms of PCOS
24. thighs not chafing
25. better hygiene (not that i dont wash myself at the min!)

i'm sure theres more but thats all i can think of at the minute!

I don't want to be a massive downer here (sorry!) but do make sure you have good psychological support too. Without it, the physical changes won't particularly change how you view or feel about yourself.
I'm learning this now and it's hard!
The positives absolutely outweigh the negatives though :) good luck xx

I have to agree with nicola do make sure that you have good help in place it really can make a world of difference
