I am 12 days post bypass and do far everything is pretty ok.
Last Weds I had an allergic reaction, I thought to An orchid someone had bought me, eyes watered, nose running uncontrollably, face bright red and itchy and I had an asthma attack. I took an anti histamine and it went after 2 scary hours.
Got rid of the orchid, then yesterday the same happened but worse, started with a very bad asthma attack followed by all the rest. Went straight to GP and he said he doesn't think it's anything to do with surgery, looks like a classic allergic reaction and gave me strong potion for next time.
I used to have reactions like this around animals when I was a child, but both times I hadn't eaten anything, taken any meds or been around anything I am usually allergic too?
Anyone else had this after surgery?
