No weight loss for me this week but I didn't expect it ..
We went to the Wiltshire county fair and game show at the weekend ..
It was so good .. I've never seen so many dogs and puppies in one place ! I think every other person had a dog or puppy with them .. All different breeds .. Lots of puppy kisses and waggy tails ..
Although I didn't eat huge amounts I did spend the day picking .. How can you not when your faced with such wonderful foods !
The cheese counters were wonderful and so many different tastes . I can highly reccomend one company

I came away with 3 little rounds of cheese . Whisky Mac , Lancaster bomber and drunk monk ... Omg if you like a good tasty cheese the order the drunk monk along side the whisky Mac .. Mmmmm! I didn't like the plain cheddar for some reason , I found it tasted plasticky in the mouth , but maybe that's just me .. Lovely little Xmas packs for £15 , so a few of my friends will getting these for Xmas !
The inside of a Jack Daniels sausage roll seduced me , along side a peice of baklava .. And so many tasting boards I couldn't even begin to count
Even thought I am a staunch country girl , I do not agree with fox hunting , and I know it's a loaded subject and we all have our views ..
Saying that , I've never laid my hands on a fox hound though .. So when local fox hunt came trotting in on their stunning grey mounts , all in their reds , followed by a massive pack of fox hounds I wasn't that interested .. Then the tannoy man announced that we could enter the arena and meet the hounds !
Well I was straight in there on my trusty steed ( mobility scooter ) ..
Those hounds were the friendliest dogs I think I have ever met .. Until they were up beside me , i never realise just how big they actually are .. They are huge ! Probably size wise just below a Dane ? Massive shoulders , strong back legs and thighs , just pure athletes of the canine world .. They do have a really greasy coat , but I suppose that's to help protect them from the elements .. No smell though , not like you can get off dogs when you stroke some dogs ..
They were so happy to greet the crowd .. Huge tails wagging almost knocking some small children over , but just as quickly spinning round to give the kid a quick sniff and lick .. It's was adorable to watch .
I would never have though that when these pups are born and weaned , they are fostered out to local families to be socialised . Put into family situations as to avoid conflicts I guess when they are out on the hunt .. The kids were leaning on them and examining the dogs faces and whiskers and these dogs just stood there and let the kids do it .. Then they would get bored and go off to see another human to make a fuss of .. I was really impressed and maybe a little in love with them ..
The horse I met was bomb proof .. Wasn't fazed by me and my scooter what so ever .. From my seating position he looked like a mountain and I am in awe of anyone who can get their leg in a stirrup so damn high up , and haul themself up without help ! I'd need a damn tractor ! The rider was very blaze and was just ignoring people but the groom was just lovely and answered any questions that were put to her ..
I love the smell of horses and miss riding when I meet a stunning horse like this beauty ..
Then the master blew on his bugle and it was like a military manoeuvre , all the hounds immediately came to attention . The main dogs tail shot up in the air and the others followed suit . Their noses rose and they spotted the master over in the corner and they just totally ignored all around them and trotted off in his direction , leaving their adoring crowd mourning for the want of a better word , including myself ..
Other displays during the day included skate board looking boards with riders , that were being pulled around a circuit ! It sounds easy but the rider has to watch the boarder all the time and get the timing exactly right when coming out of corners , then the horse opens up and speeds towards the next bend with the boarder putting hands out to touch ground so he can corner safely .. It was pretty impressive !
Like I said I totally miss riding and my daughter suggested that when I get to an acceptable weight that I go for a few lessons to get my confidence up again .. I love this idea and it gives me another goal to head for ..
So the dream of once again being in a saddle may just be within my reach .. How amazing is that .. Later today I'm ringing the local riding stable to see what their weight limit is and go from there ..
I have an image in my head now of once again riding along a shore or hacking through woods like I did when a teenager . Maybe not with as much flare and enthusiasm lol .. But a decent rider once again .. ..
My husband says sarcastically that I need to drive the car more often before I drive a horse hahaha !
My hair is a bloody mess .. How on earth do women grow their hair out of a short pixie cut without it looking like a damn mullet ?
It's longer than Ive had for over 20 years I guess and it's driving me nuts .. The colours look lovely but what's with the curls that are appearing at the nape of my neck ! I curl them under , then within an hour they are flicked up ! The top of my head is dropping into a parting when ere it used to be a punky spike wahhhh ! I'm vastly becoming a slave of back combing and hating it .. If I'm not careful I'm going to look like a 80s big hair mullet queen and will only need the padded shoulders to complete the look ! Such is life , sigh ....

No loss for me this week , well .20 of a kilo isn't worth noting lol !
But I have eaten out 3 times this week so I want expecting any loss , infact I was expecting a gain ! So phew !
My beloved work mate suggested that for every new item of clothing I bought , I should throw one out .. Makes sense to me so I've been gingerly going through my wardrobe , moving items into the clothes bin , either charity or the clothes dump bin in my local pub car park ..
Even though some of my larger tops are huge , I love them. Some are so pretty and tailored that I've found it a little hard to slip them off the hanger and put them in the bag .. I expect I'm not alone in thinking that these old clothes still fit as we still see ourselves as that big ? It's isn't until I put on an old top I can see the loss in the way the item hangs off me ..
I have been spending like a millionaire to be honest and I'm going to run up a debt if I'm not careful .. But goodness isn't it liberating to buy smaller clothes ! Even though I'm a 20 , it's so wonderful ! Plus the make up is getting a little out of hand as well .. I've tried really hard this last couple of weeks to steer clear of the make up counters .. But then I wander onto Amazon and before I know it I have items in my basket ! How many blushes does one girl need ? Apparently a dozen or more ., Hahahah ! No , I don't have have dozen blushes , honest .. Doesn't mean I didn't think about it though
6 weeks until my holiday
I don't think I'm going to get to my 19st goal by then but I know I'm going to be in the 19st bracket and I'm totally at peace with that .. To see 19st something flash up on the scales will give me the biggest grin ever !
I'm half way to being the 15st mark so I can have my knees replaced .. At the beginning of the year that seemed so unachievable .. Impossible and unlikely .. But here I am , less than a year later and I'm half way there ..
Never underestimate what time can do ..
Well off to Argos now and I've got to try and get a picnic table on my mobility scooter somehow ! £9.99 in the sale

Well done on getting to halfway to your knees, have you got to have both done? You are a bit in front of me, but our goal is the same. You have done so well since I first met you on here just before your op. Can you remember when you were 19st? I was thinking the other day, what's the lowest weight can I remember being in recent years since i moved to Yorkshire in 2003, and it was 17st. Prior to that I can only imagine being 13 stone when I got married at 21.
This clothes shopping is tempting isn't it! I have just clicked on Evans to see if there is anything new in and found they had 30% off! There is a jumper i have my eye on mainly because it has an owl on and I need to let go of my favourite owl t-shirt that has now become an off the shoulder number
but I refuse to pay that much for it when I know it won't see me through winter and I don't even like wearing crew neck jumpers. Have been having a bit of a splurge in the past couple of weeks and removed four bin bags full to make room...

Hey Sam ! Your doing so well also .. Have you taken a look at an inline catalogue called ' yours ' ? Fantastic clothing , great price and such a massive choice as well .. Beats Evans hands down in my opinion ! ..
I havnt worn a jumper for years as I got way to hot in one , but I'm really looking forward to buying one this year ., I may even buy a dreaded Xmas jumper Roflll ! Hahaha !
Sam , both of my knees are shot , but only ever had the right one xrayed ..so yep they will both need replacing ..
I remember being in the 19st bracket when I joined weight watchers 15 years ago .. Dropped about 5 st I think then .. Because I faintly remember being in Malta and being in the 15st bracket .. I think there are pictures somewhere , might have to dig them out ..
I have a little pile going on beside my wardrobe .. Each time I go to put an item on and it's to big it goes in that pile .. It's gradually growing ..
That's why I like the Yours website , because I can get a decent top for under £20 and won't worry about it getting to big quickly ..

Finally got round to taking another set of 4 pics .. Before my op and after 6st loss .. The orange top is a size 18 from TKMax .. It's a roomy top so I get away with it lol ! imalways seem to wear black trousers from marks and spencer and I've dropped from size 24 down to a size 18 .. I will stress that these trousers are the loose elasticated style , wide leg and very roomy , but I find them so comfortable .. I deff would not get into a normal size 18 yet ..
I'm hypercritical of myself so although I can see a difference , I dont see a massive diff .. But very happy so far ..

I have heard of Yours but haven't looked at it. I also have an account with JD Williams but can get a bit carried away when I have no money and run my account too high!! Some of their quality isn't very good I have found, particularly with trousers, although love their pj's. My 'go to' is Evans petite jeans for up to 5'3" which wash and wash and fit comfortably (and their ribbed knickers now they have finally sorted the fraying issue out) , although i still have to turn them up
Can now get into a 28 (although sitting down for too long is still a bit uncomfortable so have spent today turning up two pairs of those, and also turning up a bit more my size 30's that I bought in May as they are sliding down a bit (even with a belt) and i keep treading on them. Have only worn two pairs of the three I bought as I couldn't be bothered to turn them up so posted a brand new still-wrapped pair on Ebay yesterday. Saying that, I did buy just before op some joggers on JDW which fitted nicely and are now too big, so cheap and cheerful is ok now.
All my other stuff is going in the Sally Army bin as I found when posting items earlier this year I was forever having to go to the post office at inconvenient times.
