things we would like to be able to do ....

I feel quite emotional reading through this thread!! I thought it was just me who had a list of "the new me" to do!!

* horse riding with my 2 girls! Haven't been on a horse since I was about 14!
* go on a Segway! Haha I know it's a bit random, but they look like great fun!
* can't wait to take my kids swimming, over the last couple of years, I really lost my confidence!
* AltonTowers... I don't go on any rides, for the absolute terror of not fitting in!!

The list is endless, and I can't bloody wait to start ticking them off!!!

All of the above. In addition I want to stop hiding at work from the bold and beautiful people. Maybe one day they'll speak ! I always wait for later lunches when most have been and gone. Confidence will return I'm sure. x

i hope so fuffs.. sorry guys not been on much lately xx

Where to start
1- airplane seat
2- roller coasters
3- do a parachute jump
4- swim again
5- shop in primart - this weeks my evans has closed must of heard I have had the op
6- walk easily
7- able to go out and not have to decide on a coffee shop based on if the chairs have arms!
8- wear an item of my daughters clothes!!
9- do one of the race for life races
10- fit into my sons sports car - achieved!!!!

1) To be able to do my job without pain.
2) not to feel tired all the time.
3) Tie my laces without fainting.
4) Wipe my bottom without fainting.
5) to not feel paranoid about what people think of me.
6) to not feel sweaty and smelly all the time.
7) to be able to stand up for longer than 10 mins.
8) to not feel like the fattest person in the room.
9) to not feel that everyone is watching you in a restaurant.
10) to fit in a plane seat
11) to wear a swimming costume/nice clothes and feel good.
12) to be able to accept compliments
13) to wear heels again
14) to feel like a human being and normal

There are loads more, I could go on forever. It's nice to know that we all basically feel the same and that i'm not alone.

What I find funny is the things I was desperate for preop are nothing compared to the nsvs I've had. I am pain free. But more Importantly I can kiss my daughter goodnight when she's lying down in bed. I never could reach her before. And I can have her sat on my lap all evening. I can teach without worrying about not being able to reach a student who needs help. I don't get looked at when out and about anymore.

Love this thread. Since my op 4 months ago I can do the following:
fit comfortably in a plane seat and actually shorten the belt
Jog on a treadmill
Wear high heels on a night out and actually balance
fit into all my clothes in my wardrobe (many are way too big)
walk without my feet hurting me
Lift my ankle up to butt cheek when stretching rather than grasping onto a sock (during workout)

What I'm now looking forward to
1) saying goodbye to Evans, simplybe, and though I'd miss it asos-Curve. And buying clothes in normal shops.
2) running nonstop for an hour.
3) meeting people and not having the comments "your pretty /stylish for a big girl ".
4) increasing my confidence so I can attract a longlife partner
5) throwing away those blood pressure tablets.

:) I just cant wait!
