What's on the menu today?

6 weeks, 4 days post op

Today i've had...

2 tsp of weetabix
Juice/water mix
3 tsp cheesy mash (over did it, felt very uncomfortable for an hour)
Milk
Water
Apple & blackcurrant nas squash
2 tsp pea & ham soup
Juice/water mix
 
Seven weeks post op tomorrow. Today has been...
B - small strawberry yog and a few cubes of melon
L - one crackerbread with peanut butter
D - cheese on toast made with danish bread and low fat cheddar.
Snacks - 6 cashew and 2 almonds!

I feel like I've a bit of water retention so to try and shift it I've not stopped drinking all day!! My back teeth are floating!
 
Nearly 6 months!B 1scrambled egg and cheese
L 1 tin mackerel + salad
T gammon mash beans
S 1 weetabix and milk
Snacks 2 plums + yoghurt
 
Feel like i eat to much...

I'm 5 weeks post op

B- 1 shredded wheat & skimmed milk.
L- 4 melba toasts, low fat cream cheese & Ham
Snacks- 1 protein drink, 1 latte.
D - Aubergine roasted with feta & pesto and flaked salmon.
Snack - i teaspoon of peanut butter.

Really proud today to get over 60 grams of protein. Protein has been a real struggle for me.

Is this too much?
 
My dietician told me that she would come to see me on the ward following my operation - will this be to give me guidelines to follow as per the eating (or should I say drinking) plan just after my bypass? Don't think that she would just come along to see how I was enjoying my stay lol :eek:
 
10 weeks 1 day post op
b 40grams hi bran milk blueberries
s banana
l 1 slice beef 2 small pots veg and gravy on a tea plate
s yogurt
t beef curry with 1 sliced pots on a tea plate
s 1 banana with peanut butter
3 milky coffees
1 1/2 litre nas juice
think i ate to many bananas today xxx
 
B all bran milk and blueberries
S blueberries
L beef curry on t plate
S yoghurt
T chicken rissoto on t plate
S apple with peanut butter
milky cofee x 2
1 1/2 litres nas squash
 
B Muller light strawberry
L Heinz 1/3 can lentil soup blitzed with milk
D mash and philly light very runny with milk (made heart race a bit! And felt sicky)

Snack dairlylee triangle sucked to death!
Mug Milk
Walter and hot NAS Robinsons blackcurrant and apple
 
Today I have moved onto mushy foods...
Activia for brekkie
homemade veg korma for lunch
mushy peas and vinegar for tea
Banana and watermelon for snacks
 
10weeks 6 days post op
B hi bran milk chopped apple, 1/2 banana. blueberries and raspberries
L 1 scrambled egg 1 very small slice low carb bread
S 2 milky lattes
T 1 sausage 2 pots veg onion gravy on a tea plate
S melon grapes blueberries with peanut butter xxxxx
 
6 weeks post bypass today!!

B- 1 Shredded Wheat brick & milk
Snack- milk Coffee
1 Protein Drink
L- 3 melba toast , hommus or cream cheese
D- salmon & mash.
Snack - protein drink!!
Theme same as every day protein, protein, protein......
 
Four weeks post op today and time to move onto purees:
B- 1 Tbsp very dilute weetabix
L- 1 teasp Philadelphia Light
D- 3 tbsp liquidised pea and ham soup and one Laughing Cow Light
S- 1 NAS Actimel
Drinks- NAS, half pint milk, Will have a Bovril in a bit to up the protein.

I feel like I have been on a binge but when I added the calories up on myfitness pal it only comes to 211 and 21 g protein. I was having way more than this on liquids as I was getting so much from the milk. I hope I'm doing this right!

bad day today...

protien shake
half nut cutlet
chicken mash gravy and mushed veg.

Why is this bad, hun? (Although we had our op the same day I'm way behind you )
 
I suppose it's not as bad as it could be, but I was up and about for around 4 hours before i remembered to eat breakfast so just had a shake instead of cereal or a yoghurt.

SRH put us straight onto puree then mushy - we miss out on the liquid stage.

How did you manage first day of puree?
