What operation did you have and how far post op are you?

Today I had porrdige for breakfast (5 tea spoons and went down a treat). 5 carrs meltz crackers during the day with cheese spread. Meant to have yoghurt for lunch but forgot at home. For finner I attempted cream of chicken soup, had 4 tea spoons and have puked it all up. And now feel sickly. Will give my tummy an hour to calm down and will then try have that yoghurt. in between 1 ltr water, 2 coffees and 1 tea. Really gutted about the soup as so badly want to get through the mushy stage and genreally today has been brilliant. This morning I even took my blood pressure tablet whole rather than crush it up.
By the way I am 1 day short of being 5 weeks post op. Open Gastric bypass.

I don't know if it helps ladies but are you snacking between meals? Spoke to my nutrionist today and she mentioned that mid morn and mid afternoon snacks can slow it down. If u can manage mealtime to mealtime that's most effective apparently. x

4 tea spoons porridge for breakfast, 4 crackers with cheese spread through out the day, 3 tea spoons mash around 4pm. Came home and tried 2 crackers with pilchards. Vomited straight back home. Down, cos missing food. Just wanna eat something normal :-(. Or at least not vomit. Can't seem to stomach much other than porridge, yoghurt, thin thin soup (not chicken flavoured), crackers and mash.

Hi Hun,

All details are in my signature, I am 8 weeks post op today and I had RNY bypass.

I seem to be able to tolerate most foods but I still have a tendency to put a little too much on my plate, like today after breakfast I fel quite nauseous and had a lie down till it passed.

I am making a concerted effort to make my portions much smaller. Although they still look really small to me!!!
