What's on the menu today?

Pre op

B - Slice of brown toast
L - Prawn salad, and slice toast
T - Jacket potato, beans, mushrooms, onions and peaches

Am so hungry today i could cry !
 
Sunday

12 noon
2 Quorn sausages + 1/3 tin baked beans

6pm
small bowl Quorn & Veg chilli + 1tblsp fat free yogurt
1 apple

9pm
small serving of Quorn & veg bolognese
4oz cooked pasta
2 oz cooked peas

1/2pt semi sk milk used in tea
+ calcium and Vits supplements

9 days post op (from breakfast to late night night)
Tea with milk and sweetener
1/2 Fortimel
Sugar free jelly
Broccoli and cailuflower soup (half a cup)
Orange squash sugar free
1/2 Fortimel
Minestrone soup (half a cup)
Roughly 1.5 LTR water through out day

Didn't have milk, couldn't stomach it today but will tomorrow. Not a bovril fan, so sticking too soups. Everything went down well. Just drank orange squash a bit too fast. Burping and windy a lot. But ok.
Does my food look ok?
I know I have to up the milk, I did yesterday, just needed a break today
 
4 days post op

Breakfast - half a glass slimfast
Lunch - 1/3 can tomato soup with a little dried basil
Dinner - will try a little chicken soup I think

Snacks: NAS Squash, tea, muller vitality yogurt drink, and will try a milky coffee later perhaps . .

Monday

awake most of the night and gave in to white toast this morning with marmite (2 slices) :(

3pm
2 Quorn sausages + spoonful baked beans + 1.5 tsp light mayo mixed with mustard

half to one pint of milk throughout day in tea

will post dinner later :)

As mentioned earlier, protein should be considered. I got some protein poweder for the health food shop and put a scoop full in a milk shake just to get some extra protein down where I can. :D It can also be added to soups and stews later on.

Keep up the liquids.
 
B - one weetabix with lots of skimmed milk
L - melba toast with smooth pate
T - half cottage pie and small portion of cauliflower cheese left over from yesterday with extra gravy.

Struggling with fluid intake today as feel quite full. Bought some flavoured water rather than using the NAS Juice.

Not had any snacks either today. :D Just too full.

Late brekky as at work but here is today
B- homemade lentil soup
L- homemade lentil soup an ww bonoffee dessert
T- birdseye chicken burger and mini rosti

Had nas juice and water today about 3ltr alsways drink more at workas work in a call centre xx

Make sure that it is smooth pate - this is suggested in my Return to Slender book for stage two of the post op diet. A very useful book for the first few months following your operation. :D

lol - you don't say how it tasted :D I don't normally do cooking, hubby does it all for me and I just clean the kitchen after he has finished - fair deal I think as he is such a great cook and can't wait for his Sunday lunches again even if a lot smaller ;) xx
 
Haha...it tasted nearly as good as shop bought...I'm impressed for me :D

Today I had 1 x tea 1 x coffee 1 LTR water, maybe 1.5ltr, 1 x Fortimel, 1 x 1/2 cup chicken soup, 1 x 1/2 cup minestrone soup, 1 x bowl jelly, 1/2 glass milk

Sound ok?
 
Breakfast 2 x wholemeal toast

Lunch toasted cheese sandwich with wholemeal bread and a banana

Dinner. Small piece of cod, baked gnocchi and peas. Pudding. Low fat chocolate mousse.

Snack 2 hard boiled eggs and 2 tomatoes

Approx 1ltr water 2 glasses of flat lemonade and numerous cups of tea.

Not a normal day for me never eat this many carbs, unwell today and poorly little boy so bad day here!
