Thanks love! I'm sure it will all be fine, but I'm always imagining a huge amount of awkwardness with all my steppies. I'm sure it will go over time, but I've only met them a couple of times so seeing them en masse still feels traumatizing.

To nobody's surprise, the party went really well. The birthday boy was delighted with his prezzies and was so doped up on e numbers and sugar that nobody got a moment's peace!

This morning I had my weekly weigh in and I've lost another pound, taking me to 3 stone 12 lbs from my first consultation. It would be a delight to get to 4 stone this week, but I have my second fill on Wednesday. A day of liquids and a day on mush mean that this coming week I'll be happy if I don't gain!

Yesterday for the party I wore a top I bought in 2010. It was a smidge tight at the time, but I was losing weight (yeah, right). I had to take the tags off it to wear it yesterday

Fill #2 today, another 2.5ml to give me 6.5ml. It was a bit of a palaver this time as the nurse couldn't find the port - I'm so sore tonight! When I drank the water after the fill I could feel it pass through the band, a very odd sensation. Thankfully the chai latte I had while shopping went down no problem!

With the issues and the size of the fill, I'm now on liquids for two days, then mushies for two days, then back on 6th November for fill #3.

Both the dietician and the nurse profess to be delighted with my progress so far. In fairness, they have a point, I am pretty damned awesome.

Sorry to hear that finding your port was tricky & left you sore, I thought of you yesterday & wondered how fill 2 had gone? Really pleased for you that the dietician and nurse were chuffed with your progress

Thankyou! All a bit odd, last time they found the port with no issues, this time there was a lot of poking going on. They need fatter nurses with podgier, less bony fingers so that all the prodding is more comfortable!

My stomach is making huge gurgly noises for the first time tonight - I'm just relieved it wasn't doing that on my date last night. There's always a positive to these things lol! x

Hopefully your gurgling will soon settle down ,mine cleared up after a few hours but beware the wind that follows! lol

Thankfully the gurgling has died down this morning, about to have my breakfast slimfast so I'll see if it comes back after that...

2 days on liquids and I gained 3lbs... Christ, if I went on a hunger strike I'd end up 40 stone!

On to mushies today, fish pie for tea. Yum!

It happened on my last fill too. I begin to wonder how much a couple of ml of saline weighs lol!

It'll shift, but I still find it all really funny. Now I know why the slimfast plan never appealed

Blimey...What is it with fills and 3lb gains, thats you and me both this week!? I suspect they are using heavy water and demand an enquiry lol

Ive come to terms with the fact its just our bodies weird way of dealing with the fill and will soon be back on track. Hope you enjoy the fish pie, still havent figured out dinner tonight so better get thinking before I find myself fishing randomnly in the fridge!
